Reaction bonded SIC(RBSIC)
According to different grade of particle sizes of RB-SIC formula, SIC is mixed up with carbon, then SI is involved in the reaction process in high temperature sintering. But as there is about 10% free Silicon exist in the RB-SIC, so it is inferior to sintered SIC in some application. Like hydrofluoric acid, strong alkali and oxidizing medium, it cannot be used, and it's maximum working temperature is 1200℃.
